Data we collect
When you contact us, submit a private-event enquiry, or report lost property, we process the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, preferred event date and time, estimated guest count, and free-text message.
Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to help you.
Purposes and legal bases
- To answer general messages and lost-property reports based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To take steps at your request before entering into a private-event agreement and to manage any confirmed booking.
- To protect the website and prevent misuse based on our legitimate interest in service security.
- To meet legal obligations that apply to our business.
Recipients and service providers
Messages are delivered to Bar Bhangra and copied to an authorised Bar Bhangra administrator. We use service providers for website hosting and email delivery, including Resend for form email delivery. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under applicable contractual safeguards.
If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use a lawful transfer mechanism where required.
How long we keep information
Unconfirmed enquiries are normally deleted within 12 months after the last communication. Information connected to a confirmed booking may be kept longer where needed to perform the agreement, resolve claims, or meet accounting and other legal obligations. We review information and remove it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or provide a copy of your personal data, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
